A central principle in our work is that we do not work for you, but with you to build your own capacities. This means that we prefer to shape the process in dialogue with youInspiration
We host motivational and inspirational sessions on how complex sustainability challenges can be adressed, also in relation to Agenda 2030 and the 17 SDGs
Coaching & Strategic advisory
We offer coaching and strategic advisory on how to design backcasting processes from the inside-out and outside-in to address complex challenges and create desired futures
Process facilitation
We facilitate processes that frame sustainable futures, analyse present systems and identify leverage points for strategic experimentation
Analysis and evaluation
We do background and interrim analysis, continuous evaluation and strategic upscaling of sustainability transition processes in various contexts

Space for Change Institute builds on evidence-based knowledge for navigating society’s complex sustainability transitions
Space for Change Institute was founded to make research and experience on sustainability transitions generated at Chalmers University of Technology of benefit for more.
Space for Change Institute builds on over 25 years of experience from supporting organizations on various levels to navigate sustainability transitions. The core methodology that Space for Change used already to support Agenda 21, and internationally spread via The Natural Step Foundation. It has now been further developed and is of high relevance not least in realising Agenda 2030 and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Space for Change Institute has a close link to world-leading research and can offer unique opportunities for you to navigate sustainability transitions. We work closely with regions, municipalities, governmental bodies, universities, organizations, political parties and private actors.
Space for Change Institute frequently collaborate with Dialogues (www.dialogues.se) with leading expertise in transforming complexity and tension into a positive force.
The people behind Space for Change Institute have built up Challenge Lab at Chalmers (www.challengelab.chalmers.se) and have co-founded Chalmers Initiative for Innovation and Sustainability Transitions. Space for Change Institute has an international network with people from the Netherlands, Germany, Canada and South Africa. We frequently meet to learn from eachother and take part of eachother’s processes.
